Step ashore & explore – stop by stop
From the Finkenwerder pier, you can start one of the most beautiful bike tours around Hamburg. Ride past fruit farms, old farmhouses and along the Elbe dike to explore the Alte Land. In spring everything is in bloom, in autumn it smells of apples, and in summer it’s pure freedom.
Half-pipes might not be the first thing that spring to mind when you think of Hamburg, but there is one at Rüschpark! If skateboarding isn’t really your thing, the park also has a play area, a sports field and a barbecue area. It’s also a great place to enjoy a close-up view of the container ships approaching the port while you relax.

No more fish, please! Sometimes, there’s nothing better than a sausage with curry sauce. At Imbiss Engels, they’re cooked on a lava grill – and you can taste the difference! The location right by the water makes the snack even better. For a more formal dinner, head to Tarik Rose’s Restaurant Engel which is both sophisticated and down-to-earth.
